In 2000, Judy Booker, Weekend Weather Lady for TV 7 in Spartanburg, SC opened the doors of The Kitchen Emporium "up on the hill" on Clemson Boulevard in Anderson, SC across from The Anderson Station, an exciting new shopping center with "big name" stores. She built a great business with loyal following, but felt she couldn't compete with those "big name" stores across from her.  She was invited to move her business to 303 South Main Street in beautiful Historic Downtown Anderson, SC and she made the best decision for her business.  Its a quaint little shop with exposed brick walls with high tiled ceilings.  Everyone loves this little shop.

In 2005, Judy was invited to do more in television and she began the process of selling the business.  In April of that year, The Anderson Independent-Mail ran an article that The Kitchen Emporium was closing its doors at the end of the month due to not finding a buyer.  OH NO!!!!!  Not the cute little shop that everyone loves!  This can't be.  It was the first I had heard that she was looking for a buyer for her business.  My husband, Mac and I thought about it and prayed about it and "stepped up to the plate" so to speak and told Judy we wanted to buy her little shoppe.  The doors did close from April 17 (Judy's last Cooking Class) until our Grand Re-Opening on June 1st as The Kitchen Emporium and Gifts, LLC.  We should be named The Kitchen Emporium, Gifts and Wine Shop and Special Events Loft (for rent upstairs over the shop).

Mac and I invite you to visit our little shop on Main.  We have continued some of the traditions Judy started, but started some new traditions of our own.  We know you will like what you see.  We have lots of items for your kitchen, bath and home including some great gifts to choose from for any of your gift giving occassions.  We like to offer unique and exciting items for you and your home or gifts to give away.
